I'm only trying to repeat mistakes made by other Linux distributions
including the SuSE based distribution we worked where supportability was
an afterthought. I understand that Ian intends to avoid some of these
mistakes but I don't think we can avoid them without an open discussion
on supportability as an overall design goal. As you know, this requires
coordination across several projects and with the current opensolaris
hierarchy, the only place for this is a new meta-project or bring up the
discussion within the distro's discussion group. This is why I bring it
up here.
