Solaris Grub Editor:

On Indiana:
The current version of grub for OpenSolaris seems to be quite outdated.
However, this evaluation is made harder since grub seems to use parts from
divergent regions. For example we use /zpl_slim/boot/grub/menu.lst for the
menu.lst and ignore /boot/grub/menu.lst. If you wish to change the splash.xpm.gz
you must find the /boot/grub that is active. Currently my boot root is
'bootfs zpl_slim/root2' but for splash.xpm.gz it is looking at
zpl_slim/root/boot/grub which I currently can't access since I'm on root2.

Clearly, some of these items could be linked to resolve issue for the end user.
The question is what is the current status of Grub and have these issues been
addressed? If so can you point me in the direction of changes so I may complete
work on Grubed.

The start is here: http://home.comcast.net/~hawk.john/Grubed.html

Thanks

Jhawk
