It doesn't "have" to of course, it was just an attempt at a compromise between showing both layman-accessible and 'technical' information, without having to resort to tooltips or other drill-down methods to get at the latter. It's the sort of detail I'd expect to glean the most useful feedback about once people have the opportunity to use the GUI to actually manage their network, which of course none of us do, yet... as such, I'm not inclined to sweat over it too much for now.
