"svcadm restart" comes to mind, if it's really only about restarting a service. I think you need to provide a little more detail about the printer you're using and how it's connected, etc., so the people who actually know something about printing (don't look my way ;-) can help root-cause this. I'd also suggest you start at http://opensolaris.org/os/community/printing/ to identify a list that may be watched by people who are more into printing than the rather generic indiana-discuss.
