Hi Wayne, Amazon doesn't price EC2 resources any different based on how they're being used. EC2 pricing can be very complex as they charge for the platform (small, large, X-Large), storage, network bandwidth, etc. They have a pricing calculator here: http://calculator.s3.amazonaws.com/calc5.html? During the beta period there's no charge for using the OpenSolaris AMI.
