According to "A Bug's Lifecycle," any general fixes will appear in an
OpenSolaris development build before becoming a Solaris 10-9-8 patch.

Given the ease of upgrading and rolling back OpenSolaris development
releases, which is head-and-shoulders better than what is available for
Solaris 10-9-8, then I don't see any large, technical barrier here.
