Yes, dozens of times.  However, I have not used this:

as Anil's tools are not part of the standard toolset.  Instead we use 
the USB images that we don't yet distribute since they require 
OpenSolaris to use.  The method we know works is outlined here:

System logging on OpenSolaris goes to /var/adm/messages; the dmesg 
command can also be used to examine the log buffer.

It would appear to me that there's something sketchy with the driver 
interaction with the Eee.  Those who've reported success installing on 
it all seem to be using USB CD drives, though.
