Hi,

I just installed Opensolaris 2008.05 on a laptop.
When I log into gnome I first get a message about
not having permission to use gnome-sys-suspend
after which I get a gnome session started.
Now, this session is severely corrupted in that I cannot
access any menus or windows. The only thing I can do
from this point is [Alt-ctrl-backspace].
This was the primary account created at the installation.

I have changed the root to normal root using
# rolemod -K type=normal root
and logged into a gnome session as root and
In System administration -> Users and Groups ->
Properties -> User Privileges, I do have
"Primary administrator" and shutdown among many
other tasks in the list checked for that user

Is there anything more I need to do to allow normal
Gnome login ?

Any advice would be appreciated,

/Karl D
