New Delhi, Nov 11, 2008:
After a Sadhvi, now *Sadhu Adityanath is* in ATS net for his alleged role in
Malegaon Blast. The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra has reportedly
sought the assistance of Uttar Pradesh government to question the BJP MP
from Gorakhpur.
'Hindu Terrorist' Yogi Adityanath refuses to cooperate with ATS

Most often the 34-year old Sadhu MP from eastern Uttar Pradesh town of
Gorakhpur is in news for all the wrong reasons.
Just a few weeks ago this Sadhu, who wields considerable influence in
eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh caused large scale riots in Azamgarh
district by his vitriolic speeches and provocative actions.
Though the Yogi from Gorakhur was always known to favour militant Hinduism
and has been a proponent of openly using arms against Muslims and minorities
and who favoured killing of Christians in Orissa after a VHP functionary's
killing has come first under direct suspicion of being related to terrorism
related activities in the country.
Earlier Sadhvi Pragya Thakur another VHP leader and a former senior ABVP
office bearer was arrested for her role in the blasts.

manipulating probe.*

In the meantime *Yogi Adityanath* has said that it was aconspiracy against
RSS. *"There is a dangerous conspiracy afoot to label the Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a terrorist organisation and give a charitable
name to Muslim outfits,"* the MP from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur constituency
told reporters in Lucknow.
*"I dare the police to arrest me and I will offer no help in their
probe,"*he added, amid reports that he was likely to be questioned in
connection
with the Sep 29 Malegaon blasts in which five people were killed.
Adityanath, 36, advised the ATS not to act on instructions from others and
also questioned why narco-tests were being conducted on Sadhvi Pragya Singh
Thakur, an accused in the Malegaon bombing, when it was not done with
Islamic militants accused in previous bombings.
In the meantime Malegaon bomb blast accused Lt Col Shrikant Purohit is sure
to be axed from the Army. Maharashtra Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) had
arrested the senior army officer Purohit for his role in Malegaon bomb
blast.
Now it transpires that Lt Col Shrikant Purohit who worked in Army's
intelligence wing was not only involved in the blast but he was the brain
behind the Malegaon blast.
The bomb blast in Malegaon, Maharashtra had killed 6 people including a
small girl and had injured many in the last week of April.
Police and Mumbai ATS believe that Lt Col Shrikant Purohit was also involved
in Modassa blast in Gujarat that had killed 2 teenaged boys and had injured
many the same day that blast took place in Malegaon.
The ATS is also investigating Purohit's role in several other incidents of
terrorism including the blasts in Navi Mumbai and Thane earlier this year
besides massive bomb blasts in Malegaon two years ago.
In the meantime the Army has placed Lt Col Shrikant Purohit under a
Discipline-Vigilance Ban that would ensure he gets no promotions or new
postings and also relieved him of current responsibilities. The ban, a
routine order which came the day the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) took him into
custody for questioning, would be enforced till the time the probe is
completed and a report, either indicting Purohit or exonerating him in the
case, is submitted, Army sources said in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The CBI is also probing at the possibility of Purohit being involved in
earlier cases like the 2006 Nanded blast. A Nashik magistrate's court
yesterday permitted the transfer of one of the nine arrested in the Malegaon
blast case, Rakesh Dhawade, to the Aurangabad ATS following evidence being
found of his involvement in the Nanded and 2004 Jalna blast.
The ATS has also sought permission to interrogate a leader from Uttar
Pradesh in connection with the Malegaon blast case and was been granted
permission by the Nasik court. The name of the leader was not disclosed and
the permission of the court had been taken to ensure the co-operation of the
government machinery there, ATS officials said.
The investigating agency is probing the link between Purohit, arrested in
connection with the September 29 Malegaon blasts, and members of right wing
groups of Sanathan Sanstha and Hindu Janjagruti Samiti who were responsible
for carrying out blasts at three theatres.
As many as eight persons are under arrest in connection with the blasts. The
most high profile suspects are Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a Hindu spiritual
leader, and Lt Col. Shrikant Purohit, the first serving officer of the
Indian Army to be arrested in connection with a terror attack. The other
accused include Shivnarayan Singh Kalsangram, Shyam Bhawarlal Sahu, Major
(retd) Ramesh Shivaji Upadhyay, Sameer Kulkarni, Rakesh Dattaram Dhawade and
Ajay Rahirkar. All the accused are allegedly members or supporters of
Abhinav Bharat, a right wing Hindu group.

says ULFA behind it, ULFA says RSS Posted: Nov 11, 2008 at 2106 hrs IST

"The recent blasts in different parts of the country and the subsequent
arrests have also proved that RSS and BJP are involved in blasts in states
ruled by non-BJP governments" ULFA Chairman Rajkhowa.
*Guwahati, November 11: :* The Assam
Government<http://www.indianexpress.com/special/government,%20india/>on
Tuesday held
*NDFB and ULFA* responsible for the October 30 serial
blasts<http://www.indianexpress.com/fullcoverage/Blasts-hit-Delhi/108/>which
claimed the lives of 84 people.
"Involvement of some active members of
National<http://www.indianexpress.com/section/India/721/> Democratic
Front of Boroland (NDFB) has come to light during the course of
investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT)," an official
statement said in Guwahati. "The involvement of ULFA in the conspiracy of
carrying out the serial blasts in the state has also come to the fore during
investigation," it said.
Claiming that there has been "significant progress with regard to the
investigation", the government said "the main culprits who have perpetrated
the crime have been identified and all efforts are on to apprehend
them. "Probable
involvement of other agencies and organisations are also under investigation
and the police have so far arrested eight persons," it said.
The statement, however, makes no mention of the government's earlier claim
that Bangladesh-based HuJI could be responsible for the blasts by taking
local help from ULFA and NDFB. The NDFB, a dominant Bodo militant group, is
currently under unilateral ceasefire with the Centre.
*RSS involved in Assam blasts: ULFA*
The banned ULFA alleged that RSS was behind the deadly October 30 blasts in
Assam and ethnic violence in Bodo Territorial Administered Districts
(BTAD). The blast claimed 85 lives while 55 people died in the ethnic
violence in BTAD areas.
In an e-mail statement, ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa further alleged that
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarmah was an agent of RSS and was
blaming ULFA to cover up his involvement in the blasts. "Whether Sarmah is
in Congress <http://www.indianexpress.com/special/congress,%20politics/> or
AGP, he is in reality an RSS agent and to cover up his involvement is making
misleading statements like ULFA and Jehadi are the same," he said.
Rajkhowa claimed the ULFA has enough evidence to prove RSS's involvement in
the October 30 blasts in four towns of Assam, including Guwahati.
"A few months ago, the ULFA in its mouthpiece Freedom had mentioned about
the secret directive sent by RSS to carry out blasts in different parts of
the country but the state government took no steps in this direction," he
said.
Moreover, the recent blasts in different parts of the country and the
subsequent arrests have also proved that RSS and BJP are involved in blasts
in states ruled by non-BJP governments, Rajkhowa alleged.
He said that ULFA has never targeted indigenous Assamese population and has
no links with jehadi or any other religious fundamentalist organisation.
