Intelligence in
Action<http://www.sayingsofthesalaf.net/index.php/2008/12/30/intelligence-in-action/>

It is reported that Sufyân b. 'Uyainah – Allâh have mercy on him – said,
"The intelligent person is not one who merely knows what is good and what is
bad. The intelligent person is one who, when he sees what is good, follows
it, and when he sees evil, shuns it."

Abû Nu'aym, *Hilyah Al-Awliyâ`*, Vol. 4 p16.

"Cooperation in seeking truth is inherent to religion, but sincerity in the
pursuit of truth can be distinguished by certain conditions and signs. A
diligent seeker of truth may be compared to one who is looking for his lost
camel. It would be immaterial for him if he or another person should be the
one to find it. Likewise, a sincere truth-seeker would perceive his partner
as a helper rather than an adversary, and would be grateful to him if he
should guide him to truth." - Al-Ghazali

Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (evil) with what is better; then the
enmity between him and you will become as if it were your friend and intimate!
