When we listen chaos against Islamic polygamy, it seem the burden over the
women are suffering from polygamy and if they win in this war against
polygamy women will be liberated and solved all what they suffer.

Practicing divine teaching in daily life and educate people accordingly is
very good if it is ideal to follow. But most of people nowadays illiterate
in their own book but know how to quote verses without knowing its context
or rest of it's part to propagate their secular thoghts. Bible and Qur'an
agree polygamy; more over that Bible introduces the great personalities who
practiced polygamy. But modern secularist forces people to follow their
moral code by denying divine law.

*Polygamy in the Old Testament:*

Let us look at some of the verses from the Old Testament that allow
polygamy:

A man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many
he can marry.

"If he takes to himself another woman, he may not reduce her food, her
clothing, or her conjugal rights. Exodus 21:10

King David had more wives and numerous concubines.

Meanwhile David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he came
from Hebron; and more sons and daughters were born to David-2 Samuel 5:13

Then David took more wives at Jerusalem, and David became the father of more
sons and daughters.- 1 Chronicles 14:3

King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines, and
his wives turned his heart away. 1 Kings 11:3

King Solomon's son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines.

Rehoboam loved Maacah the daughter of Absalom more than all his other wives
and concubines. For he had taken eighteen wives and sixty concubines and
fathered twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters. 2 Chronicles 11:21

Deuteronomy 21:15 "If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other
unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have borne him sons, if the
firstborn son belongs to the unloved,

16 then it shall be in the day he wills what he has to his sons, he cannot
make the son of the loved the firstborn before the son of the unloved, who
is the firstborn.-

17 "But he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved, by
giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of
his strength; to him belongs the right of the firstborn.

There are a lot more verses from the Old Testament that allow polygamy, but
I think that the above are sufficient enough who seek the truth. *GOD
Almighty **can not make a mistake** and say **"those people
permitted"**while it was His Own Holy and Divine Law!
*

*Regard New Testament:*

Jesus peace be upon him did honor the laws of the Old Testament, and did
order his followers (the Christians as we call them) to follow the laws of
the Old Testament:

Jesus said: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law (the Old
Testament) or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill
them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the
smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear
from the Law (the Old Testament) until everything is accomplished. (Matthew
5:17-18)"

Since New Testament never condemn polygamy, and one who want to become a
Christian and he having multiple wives, do he has to divorce them and keep
just one? If not, then how is polygamy exactly being forbidden in the NT,
when it's compromised and allowed for this man who ready to convert to
Christianity??

Islam conceder marriage is not for mere sexuality but it is the back bone of
a healthy society. Legal marriage is essential to keep morality because
without morality there is no Islam. So it is the duty of Islam to give clear
guideline how to be marriage life and the option of polygamy in some
circumstance for the people who need and what should be the maximum which
will rehabilitate a family and secure the society without allowing him to
opt illegal and immoral way.

"O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God
aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an
apostle of God, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit
proceeding from Him: so believe in God and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" :
desist: it will be better for you: for God is one God: Glory be to Him: (far
exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens
and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs. (The Noble Quran,
4:171)"

Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (evil) with what is better; then the
enmity between him and you will become as if it were your friend and intimate!
