How are these species affected by the earth's changing climate? Can migration timing act as a barometer of climate change? Your help is needed to answer these questions! MigrantWatch is a countrywide collaborative effort between hundreds of participants who contribute information on the timing of bird migration into a common pool. It's easy to join the ranks of these 'citizen scientists' and add your bit to understanding the consequences of climate change. *Simply note the arrival, presence, and departure dates of migratory birds that visit your area. This information can then be submitted through the MigrantWatch website.* *This simple activity, multiplied by hundreds of observers across the country will yield new and important information about bird migration in India.* To join, visit the website and register your name as a participant http://www.ncbs.res.in/citsci/migrantwatch Once registered, you can upload your sightings, and search the entire database. All data collected through MigrantWatch are freely available to be downloaded and used. We look forward to your participation! We also need your help in increasing participation; do ask your friends to join and contribute information on the timing of bird migration to this countrywide project! Looking forward to hear from you, *The MigrantWatch team* (e) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (w) http://www.ncbs.res.in/citsci/migrantwatch --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "indiantreepix" group.
