Some weeks back you had posted Photograph of a flower you snapped at
Mahabaleshwar I think. I was turning Bose's book. Sl. No. 458 Jqacobinia
carnea seems to be the flower you came across. They have also writtten that
a closely resembling flower is Justicia aurea. Somebody must have pointed
it out already.
Next visit to these area, be on the lookout for Giant Malabar Squirrel.
While at Mahabaleshwar, I had a few glimpses of  it on a tree near the
circuit house. But as you know it was raining cats and dogs during our stay
there!
