Hi , I fully agree with Ketaki about the non invasiveness of Gliricidia. On the contrary, it is a tree that does a lot of good. In the first place it is a legume and nourishes the soil by way of fixing nitrogen. Added to that it gives a very nice mulch further nourishing the soil. It is a deciduous tree so during a few months in the summer it sheds all its leaves and gives enough sunshine to the crops growing underneath. It is one of the best standards for cultivating black pepper. Regards Yazdy Palia.
