Dear Rahul Lovely photos that bring back childhood memories. As a child growing up in Trivandrum, these flowers used to be an object for play amongst my friends and I. We used to blow into it close the mouth of the petals and tap the flower against our chins to produce sounds. And the one who could do that longest without the flower bursting, used to be considered the winner. This flower used to be sold and i distinctly remember my grandmother buying them for me. In an age of computer and video games this would sound quite stupid but I know it gave us such joy!
These grow in Sahyadris, for i have seen them on the Tiwai Hills near Chas kaman dam. best wishes geetha On Tue, Feb 3, 2009 at 12:40 PM, Rahul Natu <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't remember exactly where I clicked this but > > this is in the Sahyadris for sure ! > > May i have the ID pl. > > -- > Regards, > - Rahul Natu > RIM # 93225-97788 > > http://picasaweb.google.com/rahulnatu > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "indiantreepix" group.
