Hello everyone, This is hemanth... i am botany post grad from Mumbau...passionate about plants, plant ecology and plant evolution. I recently joined this wonerful group.
Even i think, the plants is Tibouchina, and there is only one species around westernghats and that is T. semidecandra. The flowers of Melastoma are i think more pinkish..and leaves show proper convergent venation. This species is common in areas like Madurai and Nilgiri. It inhabits low lying flat plains.
