Dear Rahul It defintiely seems to belong to Genus Tibouchina . I would like second with Hemanth's identification.
In nilgiris one can find only one species belonging to this genera. It is Tibouchina semidecandra Family: Melastomaceae The other genera from this group Osbeckia and Melastoma have pinkish flowers. Convergence of the veins in the leaves is one of the important characters of this group.
