The top one looks like a 'Golden Orb Web Spider', Nephila spp. and the bottom 
one like a 'St Andrew's Cross Spider' Argiope keyserlingi.
 
At least, that's what I'd say if I saw them here in tropical Queensland, 
Australia.

I apologise for posting the pictures of spiders on this forum. Was too keen to 
know ID of these spiders, which were photographed in Itanagar  Arunachal 
Pradesh, to bother about issue of propriety of posting a mail not connected 
with birds/trees.
