You are right... seeds are poisonous. But it's leaves and roots are used in
Ayurvedic medicine.
It also called 'Rosary Pea' or 'Indian liquorica'.
It is from 'Leguminoceae' family (घराणे - शिम्बीवर्ग)
Sub family - Papilionaceae  (उपघराणे - अपराजितादि)
