Dear Friends, I am writing to you with a very specific and rather urgent appeal for your help for the PA Update. We've run into a bit of a dead end trying to raise finances to keep the PA Update going for the coming year. For the last decade or so the PA Update has had the unstinted and unbroken support of the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) and for this we are extremely grateful and thankful. For this year, however, the FES has indicated that they are not in a position to fund us and for the last few weeks we have trying rather unsuccessfully to raise the resources that we need. As a consequence we have now decided to directly appeal to all of you, the readers of the PA Update to individually support the publication. We now need you to help us out and any thing that you can or are willing to contribute would be extremely valuable and welcome. You can also consider helping us by supporting subscriptions for others. Our effort to reach out to other organisations is also continuing. Organisations can help through the bulk subscription route where by we can also reach out to a larger number of people. If you can consider this, please do write to me and I will send you the details of what we have proposed. Further, I would be grateful if you could suggest any other ideas that will keep the PA Update going and also if you can pass on this request to other individuals, friends and organisations that would be able to help us.
