Botanical Name: Maytenus emarginata (Willd.)
Local Name: Kankera
A small, compact tree, 3-5 Mt. high; young branches purple, often spiny, with
leaves and flowers on the spines. common in open field in semi arid area.. Very
hardy plant. Photo taken on 19/10/2008 at jhalana forest Jaipur
