*Young Green Champs (23-24 May 2009) * CEC Mumbai is conducting a two day residential workshop for the age group of 10 -14 years, on the art of living in an environment friendly manner. The workshop is the first of its kind, bringing together eco-friendly tips and ideas in a fun and interesting way .The workshop aims to create awareness about local environments through a series of plenary and hands on training sessions. The programme includes Lily watching, presentation on lilies, Life history of Crinum lily, Medicinal Lilies, Tips on Lily Gardening and a Lily quiz. The workshop also includes field visits to locations where environment protection is being practiced. The participants would learn how to manage their indoor and outdoor lifestyles in a manner to conserve nature. This workshop is meant for all those who care for nature and would like to do their part in making this planet a better place to live. *Time*: 10:00 a.m. (First day) – 05.00 p.m. (Second day) *Programme fee*: Rs. 2500/- per person. (Fee includes boarding and lodging, kindly bring your own bedding). *Last date of registration*: 13th June 2009. *Teachers Training Workshop on Conservation Education (29-30 June 2009)* A free training day workshop has been announced for secondary English/Marathi medium teachers.
