Neil! I am a little confused about the Hindi name. I thought Ketaki denotes Kewda which grows naturally in hot and humid climate, preferably near the sea. I saw a large no. growing wild when travelling in coastal Orissa. Maytenus is obviously not native. There was a classical song: 'Ketaki gulab champak van phule". akbhatt
