Hey there, A week from now, we'll be counting the last hours till change begins, hopefully with all of you present. Badlaav 2009 - Be the Change! a youth summit on climate change organized by the Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) is on from July 18 through to July 23, 2009.
We want you to be there. Having the opportunity to interact with so many youth who are already passionate about the environment does not always come our way, and the Badlaav Team feels so fortunate that we've been able to facilitate some of those interactions. We want you to get the most out of these 6 days. First things first, have you registered? Go to www.iycn.in/badlaav or www.badlaav.co.cc to register online. You can pay the reasonable registration and accommodation charges by Demand Draft or Money Order. If you live in Delhi, you can drop by the IYCN office. But remember, fees increase after July 16th. Think beyond your immediate environment. This is the world we are talking about, the world is at stake in the negotiations on action on climate change. Let us be the change. Badlaav 2009. For more info, contact us at [email protected], or [email protected] Well youth from all over India is going to rendezvous at Delhi from July 18th to 23rd for a week long of workshops, discussions, music and loads of fun and stories to share... I was hoping if any of you would be interested in this fantastic program.... you can find details at www.badlaav09.co.cc...can't wait to hear your response!!!! Dear all, As you know Badlaav '09 (www.badlaav.co.cc) be the change is only 8 days away. 100s of young people will be coming together from across the country to be trained on skills of organizing, running projects, lobbying, direct action, presentations, and facilitation. Furthermore there will be opportunity for everyone to participate in eye opening discussions of equity, theories of change, water, energy, agriculture etc. There will be concerts, cultural performances, film festivals, opportunities for you to create joint artworks an many more fun activities. The issue with making change often isn't the lack of will, but the lack of skill - and we hope Badlaav can help provide that skill and answer some of you're questions. However we need 2 things from you: 1. If you haven't registered please do so, as after the 16th of July registration prices will go up. 2. Forward this message to at least 10 friends If everyone in this mailing list is able to do so, we can expand our outreach by 10-fold instantaneously. Looking forward to seeing many of you in Delhi!!! *CONTACT:* - Anu Verma: [email protected] +91 9891084960 - Anu Maloo: [email protected] +91 9718066013, +91 9990621067 , - Tejeswar Parida: [email protected] +91 9999974473 - Snigdha Kar: [email protected] +91 9818745466 With Regards, Anurag Maloo +91 9718066013 B.Tech(IT)- 3rd yr, U.G.
