Dear Sundaraman ji, I would refer you to the National Society of ' Friends of Trees ' , Sir P. M. Road, Fort, Mumbai - 400 001, who used to have a network of chapters in almost every state. It was headed by Mrs P. Godrej, wife of Mr Jamshed Godrej who incidently heads the WWF in India. Perhaps Friends of Trees can be of help to you. I am a life-member of the Kolkata chapter and we have been quite active in tree planting in many parts of Kolkata since 1981. I am 64 yrs and I am also still very keen on urban tree planting programs. I would gladly like to help indirectly with suggestions, since I am presently based in Gurgaon and cannot travel often.
