Dear Sundaraman ji,

I would refer you to the National Society of  '  Friends of Trees ' , Sir P. M.
Road, Fort, Mumbai - 400 001, who used to have a network of chapters in almost
every state. It was headed by Mrs P. Godrej, wife of Mr Jamshed Godrej who
incidently heads the WWF in India. Perhaps Friends of Trees can be of help to
you. I am a life-member of the Kolkata chapter and we have  been quite active
in tree planting in many parts of Kolkata since 1981. I am 64 yrs and I am also
still very keen on urban tree planting programs. I would gladly like to
help indirectly with suggestions, since I am presently based in Gurgaon and
cannot travel often. All the best wishes in your endeavours.

Mahendra Prasad

DearIsaac,
I admire your  complements to Shri Garg which he richly deserves. This Group
must be the largest Think-tank. However, I am a n Amateur Tree-planter really
not fully knowledgeable on the species and their variants. .We should all
undertake to plant trees in our vicinity to save the World from GLOBAL
WARMING.We(myself 68 yrs and my Friend Shri R.Subramanian71 yrs and Shri
Sugavanam44 and a host of others) are attempting to establish a Group caklled
"Friends of Nature" who will actually do "tree--planting". There is no
geographical restraint to this Group We would like to be supported by your
Group for technical _Expertise and advice.
There is another group in Mumbai called  <www.hariyalithane.com>  who are doing
wonderful job of tree--planting involving children. You may like to talk to
Shri Punam Singavi their president   Thanks M.SUNDARARAMAN

Dear Garg ji,

Among the  Indian e-groups (where I have joined) this is  the most prolific and
productive group. I have gained a lot of new information from this group. And
the best part is that there is no bully here. Members are very helpful and
respect others' views. That's indeed comendable. Thank you Garg ji for this
selfless initiative. And I thank all the members too for their contributions to
keep this group interesting and alive.
Great work!
Cheers!

Dear members,
I hardly read any books. But this book  'The Monk who sold his Ferrari' by
Robin S Sharma, was offered to me by my daughter & she asked me to read it. It
took me about a month to complete it. But it certainly inspired me & I started
this group on 18/6/07.
Now I know how true it was! Today 'Indiantreepix' is completing two years.

I no longer find myself alone. Whether I am there or not, good work goes on.

My sincere thanks to all the members, particularly members who are giving their
valuable time for a worthy cause.
There is nothing above the selfless service for the benefit of others & that's
what ultimately remains, when one is gone.
There are so many members on this group, who are giving such selfless service.
My hats off to them!!!
