The Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and Bird Conservation Society, Gujarat (BCSG) are pleased to announce One Day Seminar on “Importance of Trees in Conservation of Avian Diversity (ITCAD-2009)” on 13th September 2009 at the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. This event is being organized with an aim to build a common platform for healthy and fruitful interactions amongst the students, amateur birdwatchers, bureaucrats, academicians and scientific fraternity. The theme of this seminar will be instrumental in initiating a meaningful dialogue and in deciphering the role of indigenous and exotic trees in conserving resident and migratory avifauna. The thought provoking invited lectures and interactive sessions are expected to generate first hand ideas in the field of conservation of avifauna and its habitat. Amateur birdwatchers, nature lovers, students, research scholars, academicians, and scientists are encouraged to participate and to make a poster presentation (one poster per person; L-80cms X W-100cms) based on their original notes, observations or detailed studies related to any field of ornithology.
