Today I have uploaded first species Commelina benghalensis. Only three species
have been reported from Delhi by J. K. Maheshwari: C. benghalensis Linn., C.
kurzii Clarke (now correctly known as C. undulata R. Br., which also has as it
synonyms Commelina obliqua Buchanan-Hamilton ex D. Don var. mathewii C. B.
Clarke; C. paludosa Blume var. mathewii (C. B. Clarke) R. S. Rao & Kammathy (as
per Eflora of China) and C. forskalii Vahl (correctly spelled as C. forskaolii
according to Flora of North America and GRIN Taxonomy page; spellings C.
forsskalaei seem to be technically incorrect). I have yet collected two
species, one happens to be C. benghalensis. The other, interestingly is not C.
forskaolii, and may turn out to be C. erecta Linn., hitherto not reported from
our area (Delhi).

Information about description of this species in Indian Floras is requested.
