Dear Preeti, Your plant could be Passiflora edulis, and not Passiflora foetida, at least that is what I can guess from the leaves. I think the fruits become a bit dark on maturity, kind of reddish brown. I have tasted Passion Fruit, and found the taste is quite modest.
