Navendu ji, Acampe rigida, as the name suggests is rigid and robust
too. The leaf base or or inflated petiole, whatever you may call it,
partly sheathing the stem, is brown coloured, I thought that kind of
leaf is found in Acampe but not Aerides. In Aerides that sheathing
part are persistent, which is absent in this photograph, though the
plant is so huge.
But still I agree that you have a better knowledge of plants of
Western Ghats Navendu ji.
