Yes it is a Phaseolus (mostly now under Genus Vigna in Dicot I of BSI) , you
have a good picture with flowers and fruits and can follow key to the
species level. But it looks a lot like:
Vigna khandalensis previously known as Phaseolus khandalensis and also
Phaseolus grandis (- as it appears in Cooke) : If it is the same species, it
is endemic, vulnerable category.
BUT check key carefully - also it is a large stout herb as against the
weaker twining Phaseolus/Vignas
