Garg ji
All my mails are on my desktop in India (and it may take me a long time to
locate the mail from website), will you or any colleague be able to locate
the mail with photographs which was a shrub and we discussed between Solanum
nigrum and S. pseudocapsicum and finally tentatively called it S.
pseudocapsicum, although I was doubtful owing to more number of flowers in
cluster (5-10 as against 1-3 in S. pseudocapsicum). Also it was reported to
have yellow berries. I have finally identified this plant as Solanum
diphyllum L. The cultivated shrub has two additional features, the adjacent
leaves are unequal in size, and berry is slightly bilobed. Kindly
incorporate this identification. If you are not able to locate this mail,
kindly let me know. I will upload my fresh photographs. The plant was then
uploaded by some other member. The plant was also lying unidentified at
Flowers of India website. I have identified the plant there also.
