Janaki ji,

Ficus arnottiana (syn. Urostigma arnottianum) -- botanically, is not a
variety of F. religiosa, it is a distinct species ... I gather from internet
that it is native to India and Sri Lanka.

... commonly known as: Indian rock fig, rock pipal, waved-leaved fig tree,

Within India, the distribution can be fairly gaged from the names in
regional languages.

I have some photos of F. arnottiana at
http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=91314...@n00&q=Ficusarnottiana&m=tags
Note the tip of leaf, and the venation -- different from F. religiosa.

For medicinal values ... http://ayurvedicmedicinalplants.com/plants/621.html

Regards.
