Dear Colleague I am very happy to announce admission to the 2010-12 academic session of the M.Sc. course in Wildlife Biology & Conservation, offered by the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Centre for Wildlife Studies and Wildlife Conservation Society. The course is based at the excellent campus of NCBS in Bangalore, and affiliated to the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, a Deemed University of international repute. The 2-year course, offered to 15 graduates once in 2 years, is open to graduates in any field with a demonstrated interest in wildlife conservation. All students are offered full financial support so that financial constraints do not prevent the most talented and passionate from attending the course. The selection process includes an entrance test in nearly 18 centres and an interview with short-listed candidates. Graduates of the course, which began only in 2004, have had an unparalleled track record in scientific publications, presentations in international seminars, and in obtaining prestigious fellowships to pursue higher studies and other awards.
