I doubt if this plant has quadrangular shape anywhere on its stem.
According to FoC  -
(i) leaf margin slightly undulate ------- *Achyranthes aspera* var.

(ii) leaf margin undulate ------ *Achyranthes aspera* var.
*indica*<http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200006963>
