Hi Colonel, This is a Bumble bee. The previous one was a Carpenter bee. In India, Bumble bees are generally found in the Himalayas and do not descend below 3000 ft. Bumble bees differ from Carpenter bees by having yellow markings and hairy bodies. With regards, Neil Soares.
