Dear members
Our next episode will cover families Balsaminaceae, Geraniaceae and
Oxalidaceae (formerly included under Geraniaceae but now distinct), which
would include among others the two major genera Geranium and Impatiens,
with several species represented in Western Himalayas and Western Ghats.
Last trip to VOF had shown several members of two genera needing re-look
and more critical appraisal. I hope this episode should help us in better
understanding of various species of these two genera as also other genera
with representation in India. Here is the List of Genera expected to be
covered in this episode.

1. Impatiens
2. Hydrocera
3. Geranium
4. Erodium
5. Oxalis
6. Averrhoa
7.Biophytum

I request Santosh ji, Tiwari ji, Rawat ji, Manoj ji, Vijayasankar ji,
Nidhan ji, Tabish ji, Pankaj ji, and other experts to keep a especial watch
on this episode to streamline the important genera so well represented in
our country.

I also request Prashant ji, Dinesh ji, Balkar ji, Satish ji, Nidhan ji and
other members to showcase their collections during the week.
