Gurcharan ji and Arti ji,
Impatiens hawkeri has also lower sepal shallowly navicular with thicker
spur, whereas I. walleriana almost flat lower sepal and filiform spur.
In most cases I. hawkeri has bigger flowers than I. walleriana, however
variability of cultivated species is sometimes beyond recognition...
As I wrote in my earlier posts, I hawkeri was recently hybridized with some
other more heat and sun tolerant taxa, making things worse for botanists.
