grasses, sedges and rushes
 Poaceae
 Grass
Place, Altitude: Rajgurunagar near Pune ... about 2044 ft asl
Date, Time: 07 DEC 09 ... 03:31pm
Habitat: among scrub vegetation adjoining cash crop fields
Habit: erect herb; perhaps just about 2 ft (guess)

This plant is mot probably an escape from fields nearby.
My guess: this could be wheat.
