Dear Garg Sir, "About a fortni*ght ago i received a mail from Taiwan. A botanist working on **Limnophila** confirms this."* these very words apply only for the statement - *This is NOT Limnophila diffusa Benth*., in https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/uMNRbnN_CNQ/HUkgXPOzxyoJ.
About this species (in this thread) she opines. "....*it might be Limnophila hirsuta (Heyne ex Benth.) Benth. in Prain's "Bengal Plants"......*". AT the same time she pointed out the difference in flower colour. My reply was that low end digi-cam fails to produce true colour in the blue-violet spectrum of light.
