Dear Sir, Its a case of long forgotten species or very often misidentified. I got this species identified from one of my best friend of Czech origin who revised the Indian genera of Curcuma. I trust she cant be wrong. She is now curator of Ginger garden at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Zinger garden at SING is supposed to be the authority for registration of Gingers from all over the world. While doing some field works together with her (around 7 of them), we very often came across pseudomontana in Jharkhand, Chattishgarh and Uttarakhand so I could identify that it was somewhat different from what I know.
See Hooker's Flora of British India, Vol V, page 214 - 215 and Roxburgh's Flora Indica, Vol i: page 35 - 36 for collection record. These two files were there on my DVD.
