*'Rubia cordifolia' *is called *'Manjishtha' 'मंजिष्ठा' *in Marathi.
Rubia= Red लाल
cordifolia= Cordia- Heart, हृदय
folia- Leaves = हृदयाकृती पाने
(Here Rubia- indicating redness alluding to the dye obtained from fruit.)
