Two species of *Trachelospermum* are known in Uttarakhand and differentiated as below:
Flowers purple red, peduncle less than 3 cm long......................................T.axillare Flowers white, peduncle more than 3 cm long .........................................T.lucidum The plant here is *Trachelospermum lucidum*.
