Sir, *Blumea hieracifolia* DC should not be found in our area. But, it is the same place (a railway stn,) where i found *Claoxylon mercurialis* Thwaites<https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!topic/indiantreepix/B83vGO9GDUg>(which should be confined in Behar of then Bengal province).
*B. hieracifolia* is as variable species as many other *Blumea*, it can be branched too - http://www.iiim.res.in/herbarium/asteraceae/images/blumea_hieraciifolia.jpg (source - http://www.iiim.res.in/herbarium/asteraceae/images/). Yet, it doesn't confirm the ID. Thank you Regards surajit On Sat, Jun 15, 2013 at 5:49 PM, J.M.
