Not only the fruits but young leaves too have fine colour. It is common here in Uttarakhand. Bark is much liked by Elephants. A little correction- it is *Mallotus philippensis* (Lam.) Mull. Arg. [Euphorbiaceae). DSRawat Pantnagar
