Erect herb up to 120 cm tall covered stiff hooked hairs; leaves alternate
narrowly lanceolate, 8-20 cm long, lower petiolate sinuate-toothed, upper
sessile, clasping; heads yellow, ligulate, corymbose or paniculate,
receptacle naked; involucre bracts linear-lanceolate, acuminate, covered
with blackish hooked hairs, inner longer erect, outer shorter spreading;
achenes narrowed at both ends, without beak, brown, pappus feathery.
