Some earlier relevant feedback: 20/07/2013 Pune Bibwewadi road requesting identification of a small road side tree is this Vitex trifolia? Id help http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Three-Leaved%20Chaste%20Tree.html -- Regards Bhagyashri This could be V.negundo or V.trifolia. The closer possibility is that of V.negundo. The identification key is on the leaves. In case of Vitex trifolia, the leaflets are sessile. A better image of leaves, can confirm the identity of the plant. The sessile leaflets are seen in the link posted by you. Am attaching the image of Vitex trifolia from my collection. Apart from this, V.trifolia grows naturally along the coast - it is a littoral species. best regards Adittya I have managed to get a better image of the leaves. attaching pix of the same. the leaves do not appear to be sessile so should we say that this plant is Vitex negundo as suggested by you Many thanks for your help and the pix from your collection of Vitex trifolia which helped me to understand the difference between the two better Regards Bhagyashri efi pages on Vitex negundo & Vitex trifolia ---------- Forwarded message ----------From: Bhagyashri <[email protected]>Date: 25 July 2013 11:35Subject: Re: [efloraofindia:161151] efloraofindia:''For Id 20072013MR1’’ a small road side tree is it Vitex trifolia at PuneTo: Adittya Dharap <[email protected]>Cc: efloraofindia <[email protected]>Adittya ji, I have managed to get a better image of the leaves. attaching pix of the same. the leaves do not appear to be sessile so should we say that this plant is Vitex negundo as suggested by you Many thanks for your help and the pix from your collection of Vitex trifolia which helped me to understand the difference between the two better RegardsBhagyashri On Sun, Jul 21, 2013 at 10:29 AM, Bhagyashri <[email protected]> wrote: Adittya ji, >Many thanks for the help and Id.
