Dear Garg Sir, I am very confused with the two posts at eFI - https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/cl/cyperaceae/cyperus/cyperus-esculentus. The one at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/LuAgjezenec/mCW0PuGcrlMJ looks different to the one at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/Q_a2ADK1g5w/ZTXNPdadaOsJ.
I may be very wrong. but the first one looks similar to the ones labelled as *C. digitatus* Roxb. at - http://89sky.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=37010. The 2nd one looks different to the plants in - http://floridagrasses.org/cyperus_esculentus.htm and in http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?search=Cyperus+esculentus&guide=Grasses&cl=US/WI/Ozaukee/UWM_Field_Station . I think my plant doesn't belong to any of the eFI linked species. Thank you, Regards, surajit On Sat, Aug 17, 2013 at 5:21 PM, J.M.
