"I am not sure if we are still talking about the same plant but the picture on Dinesh's flicker link is of Litsea chinensis. This species is closely allied to L.deccanensis but differs in having umbellules on a peduncled umbell (as seen in Dinesh's picture) while Litsea deccanensis has solitary umbellules.
