I have a recent post, that looks like the photographs attached by Neil Sir, and it has been identified as *Z. oenopolia* (L.) Miller - https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/1HNqkcYbwUo/W0Yg4tkAMloJ. Illustrations can also be found at - http://www.plantillustrations.org/species.php?id_species=1083172 and supporting - http://opendata.keystone-foundation.org/ziziphus-oenoplia-l-miller. The plant in this thread doesn't look like the one in the above or in the attached pics by Neil Sir. But, does look like - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ziziphus_oenoplia_12.JPG !!! And also - http://opendata.keystone-foundation.org/ziziphus-mauritiana-lam or http://www.plantillustrations.org/species.php?id_species=1233670!!! The most varied illustrations are of *Z. jujuba* Miller - http://www.plantillustrations.org/species.php?id_species=1083115 and my plant also looks like - http://www.plantillustrations.org/illustration.php?id_illustration=131249.
