The Indiantreepix Database upto 30th Sept.'09 (MS Excel, about 6 MB) has around *2300 species*. You may download it at any time; it is available at Indiantreepix home page -- http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix This file contains all the plants discussed at Indiantreepix, for you to peruse offline & is very useful for reference. Try *Edit ยป Find* to search any word / name in this database-- it is *alphabetically arranged by botanical name*, with relevant synonyms. Useful links are put along with Indiantreepix links. The spreadsheet can be manipulated in any manner. For example, one may sort the plants per family -- family names are given in a separate column. *The regional names of the plants are continuously added*; many thanks to Dinesh ji, Tabish ji & Swagat ji (for putting names in Marathi (and Sanskrit)), all members are encouraged to share the names in their languages -- these are just as important as botanical name of the plant. Intent of this database is for educational purposes only. Errors/ mistakes cannot be ruled out -- members are requested to point them out for corrections. Special articles like 'PICKING SEEDS' , 'My Dream Garden' etc. & unidentified plants are being put at the end of the Database starting with*Zz Unided * -.... Any feedback about these unidentified plants is always welcome.
